The Department of Library and Information Science is currently seeking qualified international students for the LIS undergraduate and graduate programs. For graduate programs, students with diverse backgrounds and experience in other fields are also encouraged to apply. Students from other undergraduate majors are eligible to apply for a secondary major. For these cases, related course waivers may be possible if approved by the Department or the University. A transfer student who attended other colleges or universities may be able to transfer credits earned in other institutions to our program.
To be admitted to our program, applicants must first satisfy the admission requirements of Keimyung University. All admissions are handled through the admissions office of our university. International students interested in applying may also inquire directly to the International Office at Keimyung University. The International Office can provide initial assistance and guidance for international students who wish to pursue one of our LIS degrees. The following is a general overview of the admissions process for all students who are interested in applying. Consult one of our faculty members to inquire about a particular LIS program.
-Apply through Keimyung University International Admissions. Application form is available through the office.
-Send applications, application fees, and supporting documents to Keimyung University International Admissions, all of which are specified on the Keimyung University website.
-Applicants are notified about the interview. For applicants residing outside of Korea, video interviews are permitted.

Course study may begin in the 1st semester (spring), or the 2nd semester (fall). In Korea, the 1st semester typically starts from March 1 while the 2nd semester starts from September 1. Students will be provided with an orientation upon their arrival.
