The Department of Library and Information Science at Keimyung University offers distinguished programs that set it apart from the other 32 universities with LIS departments in Korea. Currently, The noteworthy characteristics of the Department of Library and Information Science are the following:
-Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) program in library and information science
-Certificate program in library education, which is a part of the School of Library and Information Services (Librarianship Program)

The graduates of our program are entitled to receive the national librarian license in addition to a degree in LIS. Students enrolled in courses from the Department of Education may also receive certificates for school media librarianship and may get employment as school media librarians.
